Call your lender again and ask them specifically about the “Hope for Homeowners” program. Find out if they are participating. It is a program that will refinance you into a FHA loan and lower your payment. There are some stipulations that you must meet, but it is designed to help with those that have had their income lowered and are having a hard time making their payments.

Your only hope is “Hope for Homeowners” through FHA if your mortgage company/bank is participating.

Since a house is considered an asset, there cannot be any program, such as a charity, which assists you in paying your mortgage.

Get a second job since your hours have been cut back at Job #1. You need the money, and not only for your mortgage. Also, slash your spending — the mortgage has to be paid or you are in big trouble on numerous fronts.

I agree with the first answer. Check with your mortgage company if they are participating in the Hope for Homeowners government program. If that does not work, find out why you were denied the modification. Sometimes if your only behind 1 or 2 months they will not try and help they will just tell you to catch up and then they’ll see what your alternatives are. But if you really fall behind and then ask them for help more then likely they will help you as long as you prove you can make the new modified payment. Again check why you were denied and go from there and try again.
